I’m 100% FOR the riots in the UK:

johnscottharris:

I’d be destroying shit right along with them. Too bad the youth of America would never EVER have the balls to do anything like this. You’re all sheep.

I’m 100% FOR the riots in the UK:

It is unfortunate that the truth, reconciliation, and justice surrounding the death of Mark Duggan is now clouted with actions done by vandals, further allowing the police and the media to mask their poor actions with stories of looting and fires.  I am entirely appalled by the stated support of the UK riots.  Support of such actions merely condones ignorance, vandalism, and looting — actions which will never result in a revolution nor respect of a government.

While I understand that we seek solidarity with those that also want change in their country, it is important that we are educated in our support.  As we saw in the Arab Spring, strategic action and unification work.  It will take time and loss and suffering and essentially the unbelievable before anything changes but that is a whole hell of a lot more powerful than lighting cars on fire.

If we are going to seek fraternity with young revolutionaries around the world, take a look at what is going on in Syria.  The youth here aren’t just stealing DVD players and Nikes but dying by the thousands just to get their voices heard

And lucky for the Americans, your revolution is at your finger tips — read the paper, vote, and most importantly call your representatives.

Is this what your revolution looks like?:
